Dealership Service Manager - Compensation: $40~55K DOE in Nacogdoches, Texas

SERVICE MANAGER
The service manager is responsible for running an efficient and profitable service department. He/she will operate the department at maximum production, controlling costs, building a loyal clientele, sustaining good employee morale, setting and obtaining sales and profit objectives and maintaining service records. The Service Manager is responsible for quality control of service work and for ensuring that work is performed properly and on time.
Duties and responsibilities include:
? Acquire and maintain thorough product, warranty, and campaign knowledge for all wholegoods products carried by the store.
? Greet service customers, create and administrate Work Orders in the business system.
? Track and resolve customer satisfaction surveys and other customer satisfaction issues that may arrise.
? Actively sell service and maintenance to customers.
? Be familiar with warranties, policies, and service contracts, and be able to advise customers of same.
? Schedule work in the shop and control the general activities of the Service Department
? Provide on-the-job training to technicians as appropriate, and conduct informal evaluations with technicians.
? Help ensure customer satisfaction by helping technicians properly diagnose technical problems and direct proper repair procedures where appropriate.
? Devise and use systems for overseeing work in progress, maintain records of comeback repairs to ensure repair and technician involved can be identified.
? Process and submit warranty claims to suppliers, perform required follow up activities as needed.
? Coordinate pick up and delivery service for wholegoods units.
? Coordinate assembly and make ready activities in support of the Sales Department.
? Assist in expense control efforts. Develop and control systems for appropriate use of shop supplies, protect company equipment from theft and abuse, and ensure proper maintenance of all equipment.
? Maintain inventory of essential and special tools and service publications for current and past model years.
? Insist on shop cleanliness and a safe environment. Develop and maintain awareness of OSHA and EPA requirements and conduct follow-up in areas requiring improved housekeeping and safety compliance.
? Report injuries and potential workers compensation claims.
? Oversee and coordinate facility maintenance.
Qualifications
Must be computer literate, organized and detail oriented. Must have excellent customer handling skills. Familarity with service and repair procedures very helpful, but not absolutely required.
